Challenge based learning
Challenge Based Learning...
is an engaging multidisciplinary approach to teaching and learning that encourages learners to leverage the technology they use in their daily lives to solve real-world problems. Challenge Based Learning is collaborative and hands-on, asking students to work with peers, teachers, and experts in their communities and around the world to ask good questions, develop deep subject area knowledge, identify and solve challenges, take action, and share their experience.
Visit the Challenge Based Learning site here (takes you to a new window) or explore the website below.
Working with your teachers during a full one day training programme, TCT can take your teachers through the process of Challenge Based Learning and how to implement it across your curriculum.
Introducing your staff to Challenge Based Learning, is a great opportunity for those staff to reflect on their current lesson plans, how they can be improved to encourage 21st Century Skills and the use of technology within the classroom. It also provides a framework for educators to consider elements of the Junior Cycle Curriculum and Transition Year school directed programmes.
Contact Thomas if you would like to discuss Challenge Based Learning and arranging a training session around it.
